Face mask announcement
CITY OF HUDSON RECOMMENDS CITIZENS TO
WEAR FACE MASKS IN PUBLIC
The City of Hudson is asking for all people to wear some type of face masks while in public.
While the research is still ongoing and current studies are not yet conclusive many government authorities are putting out orders and some regulations to get ahead of COVID-19.
The CDC explains that the virus can spread between people interacting in proximity, for example, speaking, coughing, or sneezing, EVEN if those people are not exhibiting symptoms. Considering this evidence, the CDC recommends wearing cloth face coverings in public settings.
While this may be helpful please remember it should not replace or be substituted for the social distancing requirements that are required at this time.
It is generally recommended that anyone over the age of 5 wear some sort of covering over their nose and mouth, such as an allergy mask, scarf, handkerchief, bandana or homemade mask when in public areas.
We are asking the residents to take all required measures, wear face masks, and any addition suggestions to slow this virus. Please stay at home as much as possible and be safe.
